Blanche Dubois

A2 sized pose portrait for Justin David's Night Work collection, 42cm x 59cm including a white border. Unframed.

Antonio Blanco is a Mexican neo-burlesque alt-drag artiste, surreal cabaret mime, sometimes chanteuse, fortune teller, actor and cabaret performer who trained in mime and is based in London. He has performed as his alter ego Blanche Dubois all over Europe, on his own and in collaboration cabaret and burlesque groups. Blanche was in fact born in a basement bar in Edinburgh in 2004. At the lack of female performers he came to the rescue and there, 'she' was born and never left!

He was part of the original Burly Q London, having had two revues in 2005 and another one in 2006. After which, he joined @thelipsinkers with whom he had been sharing the stage—first at Bistrotheque and then at the legendary Royal Vauxhall Tavern on the first Friday of every month. He's a regular performer for the world famous Double R club, having performed with them at the London Wonderground, @punchdrunkint's 'The Drowned Man' and 'Mr. Stamford's party'.

"Leave your day job behind as Justin David introduces you to dreamers of a dark and restless sort in his collection Night Work; a series of magical photographic improvisations featuring nocturnal creatures from London and beyond."
